Nick Ward, the Elite Performance Manager at Sheffield Eagles Rugby League Football Club, contacted us through LinkedIn and asked if they could be included in our knee angle study amongst professional athletes.

So, on Wednesday this week, we visited the Sheffield Eagles to analyse the squad so that we can add their data into our knee angle study and to provide them with accurate gait and functional movement data on all players.

We analysed all of the available squad members and it took less than 5 minutes per player. The Sheffield Eagles players were keen to be analysed and it was good to see Scotty Wheeldon there, as we had previously analysed his gait when he was with the London Broncos, a couple of years previously.

We now have nearly 200 professional players (football/rugby union/rugby league) included in the study. I am not aware of any studies that have these types of numbers so I would like to extend a big thanks to all participating clubs.
